FRONT PRE POST

This new construction in Colchester was a large box plopped on top of the earth with a narrow walkway along the front left part of the existing retaining wall (top part of pic). We recycled the pavers to sweep in the new walkway and make the box a home by anchoring it with mature plants, automatic drip irrigation, and lighting (bottom part of pic). This project, start to finish, was 12 days. Below is a close up of the walkway, bluestone capped steps, and garden.

IMG_0093This is the back of Dave’s house in Farmington. Before this photo was taken  we removed auto parts, trees, chain link fence, and you name it. The slope in the rear has a continuous underground stream of  water that inundated the property and made the area behind the

The photo to the right shows the new dry stream riverbed we created around the entire perimeter of the entire property, mature plantings, sod lawn, wood bridge, and new shed. This photo was taken the first year after completion. The upper right corner of the before photo is the same location as the after below.

Rothenberg view from steps

The photo below of a Deep River property shows the before and after from the bottom looking up. This photo is looking down from the top of the steps. We began with a steep rear slope that proved challenging to our clients to navigate to the lower property and pool. We created this natural staircase of stone to meander down the slope through a lovely organic garden.

Rothenberg front steps

This Westport property had wood front steps into the house, a dirt and stone driveway, and old white garage doors. We designed and built the bluestone apron in front of the new garage doors that are complimented with bluestone capped stone steps into the house and a curved retaining wall off the garage. All this was intended to compliment our client’s favorite blue color painted on the house as well as the paved oil and stone driveway.

Gazebo

This snowy before photo in the upper left corner became a painted clapboard courtyard in Stonington CT complimented by a honeysuckle laden iron gazebo hung with a low voltage light and mature plants in this second season photo.
