Good day and welcome to my organic approach to website enjoyment. We are redesigning our website so please be sure to check back to see the updates as they occur and pay no mind to the parts that look like a work in progress. You will notice that we have made an effort to help you stroll through our online gardens. We try to keep our carbon footprint as small as we can in life and the gardens and in that same vein try to minimize the psychic, emotional, and physical footprint on you as you as you peruse our pages. You see, whenever we design anything we believe that the space around an object is as important as the object itself.
Please take a moment to see all our posts and pages where you can find ‘all things green and garden’. All the blue words on the right can be clicked on to bring you to something enjoyable and informative.
Make sure you sign up for my monthly ‘Garden Greenline Eco-Letter’ delivered straight to your inbox, subscribe to the RSS so you will be automatically notified of new postings by yours truly, and check back weekly for the ‘Eco-Tip Of The Week’.

Our company recycles materials, packaging, and waste as much as possible and reduces noise and air pollution by controlling the amount of time our engines and equipment run.

From small gardens to complete transformations we design and install everything with a discerning eye for all details.
You see, it’s not the garden or landscape that we create but the feelings you have when you spend time enjoying the inspiration of your home. Thus you are assured your piece of earth to be an inspiring haven that inspires, invites, rejuvenates, comforts, and restores.- Maureen

We have a snaking area at that back of our yard that we are considering doing something with. It is a flower bed with an in ground watering system that is + - 50′ long & + - 10′ deep. The flowers that were there are now pretty straggly. Your English Garden article in the New Haven register is very intriguing. Could you give an estimate to develop a design for the area. We live in Guilford about 1 mile inland from the center of town.

I want to say I love listening to you on 100.5. I have 2 questions please. I need to know what to do about moles. And I have little worms on my hydranga plant. i’ve tried spraying with soap water but it’s not really helping. Can you help me with these questions please.
And again I really enjoy and appreciate all your advice. I drive my husband nuts (in a good way) because I always say to him stuff like we have to do it this way because “that’s what the English Lady said to do”. I just love to garden!
Thank you
Mary Jean
Mary Jean, take a look at a reply that I gave to another person today about moles and hopefully this will help.
Spray the hydrangeas with a strong jet of water to wash off the worms from both sides of the leaves or use an organic fungicidal soap “Safer” from the garden center. Good luck Maureen
I enjoy your news letter and enjoy listening to you on the radio. I would like to know, when do we prune our butterfly bushes? Will be looking forward to Thursday that you are on the radio.
Thank you for your help.
Carole G.
Carole, prune the butterfly bush down to about 1 foot from the ground and put manure around the base. So glad you enjoy the show.Maureen
